To My Muse,

Finding ecstasy in loving you is so dear,
Yet the pain of loving you, I can’t decode.

My heart is perplexed between two worlds,
One where you’re only mine, and one where you’re not.

The thought of losing you leaves me in despair,
But the joy of being in love with you is beyond compare.

It’s like the torture of love isn’t it?

Yes. Love should be peaceful. It should feel like home. However, these forbidden desires, the longing, and the fantasies they are all both excruciating and thrilling. If love, or whatever we wish for came easily, Poets and writers would have nothing left to characterize in such an intriguing way. They wouldn’t have written or sang about it. I suppose it’s a writer’s privilege to feel and write in this way.

That’s a beautiful way to look at it, love of passion shared is like a rarity to be treasured when two souls touch.

I like that analogy, that’s the paradox of what should hurt sometimes excites us.
