Such a beautiful post!
I especially love the line “It’s not easy to let someone go when we’ve built our home around them and they’ve made us feel homeless.” That’s the perfect way to describe the feeling, so visceral, so tender.
And I do agree that we fall in love with who we are around the person—how happy, adventurous, sexy, whatever it maybe that they “make us feel” it’s not something they’re giving us but rather something that was already within us that they just bring out of us. And the dopamine makes it all so addicting, lol
